With high-roof vans, there's a lot of usable space for additional storage. Our Gear Loft headliner shelf singlehandedly harvests the largest volume of wasted space in the Sprinter to be reclaimed for lightweight, bulky gear - window coverings, awnings, bedding, jackets, etc. It's constructed from a tubular aluminum outer frame, and durable Cordura fabric stretched between. We designed the unique shape for easy access and less banging on your head.
Currently compatible with 2007-2019+ High Roof Sprinters, a Ford Transit version will be available later this year.
Our Gear Loft provides an 8.5 square foot platform. Additional pocket on the underside, accessible from both driver side and passenger side. Netting allows items stored to be seen from below. Retains use of OEM visors and shelves.
Materials
Tubular aluminum frame
1680D Cordura main body

May have clearance issues in vans with upper cabinets or bulkheads immediately behind the driver's seat - please contact us first.
Designed to store 5lbs on each side (right and left) and 10lbs total.
First outing in our van since I purchased… kept on forgetting about it, due to the great design moving in and out of drivers seat to the back of the van. Love the aesthetic design. Woke up to the Pacific Ocean and thought of snapping this picture showing off this product.

Saw this in a van lifer video and even though we do not live in our van full time wanted the reclaim that lost space over the front seats. Watched the install video a few times and decided l did not need to get it installed at a dealership or sales location. So when it arrived I just followed the steps in the video and it was fairly easy to install. Took about 20-30 minutes to install just like they said and that included my redoing the lacing a few times to get the spacing pretty near perfect because the look of it mattered to me. If you are not so picky about the look of the lacing it could be faster and obviously still function as designed!

The website says if you have a bulkhead immediately behind the drivers seat, installation may be problematic. NOT SO! I may argue it's better! We cheated the rack forward 1-inch for clearance, and everything fit fine. Moreover, we were able to use a 3/4-inch PVC conduit strap to secure the rack to the bulkhead; making the assembly even stronger - without any rattles. Recommend the Gear Rack highly!

Install was a breeze. Haven’t tried it yet but looks great and will definitely come in handy.

Best thing, hands down, that I’ve gotten for the interior of my Sprinter…truly epic!

Works great! Was easy to install. I find it very convenient to have that shelf space. And I am not worried about bonking my head into bottom of shelf because of the mesh fabric.
One minor note, pay careful attention to the screw holes where the coat hooks go. Just plastic there. I had to pickup extra screw slightly longer at hardware store to thread into passenger side column completely.

WE were able to find a used 4x4 Sprinter from the same customizer in Ohio, so we disassembled out gear loft from our previous rig and moved it to this one... The Sprinter hardware on the newer one was challenging as they used locrite(?) on the hardware.. But with a little help, we got it done.. It is a great space for some lighter weight items that would usually be on the seats or other places in the way..
Thank you,

Gear Loft works fantastic in my Airstream Interstate 19. Worked with Louis at Radius because I knew it would be a tight fit with the bulkhead for shower/bathroom directly behind the driver seat. But it fits with 1.5" to spare.

This shelf is AMAZING!!!! Looks like it was built in from the beginning. Easy to build and install and increases storage immensely!

Very well-designed, fits perfectly, easy install, and adds a lot more storage space.
What prevents me from giving 5 stars is that (to me) the cutout in the middle is too small, and I find myself hitting my head on it too often. I would sacrifice some storage space in exchange for a larger cutout, to make getting in and out of the front seats a bit easier.
